And it’s not me. Thank God. Matt Lieberman is set to pen the remake of the 80′s film for Dimension Films and The Weinstein Company.
Despite being lambasted by critics for being the same old recycled exorcism crap, The Devil Inside proved that America loves to be scared at the movies, earning $34.5 million in its debut.
In an eerie twist of events, the box office stayed almost identical to last week. What does it mean? That the Mayans WERE correct!
Maybe it’s just us, but it seemed like there was an underwhelming number of good movies this year. But who cares? We’re focusing on the bad ones, and there were PLENTY of those in 2011. Here are our Bottom 10 “Worst Movies of 2011″:
The recent box office malaise seems to have temporarily been lifted as Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows made $40 million in its debut, taking top prize for the weekend.
Apparently I’m behind the eight ball on this cause this remake has been in active development for a while, it was just missing a director to really get the ball rolling.
