CABIN FEVER Sequel Gets Director
Comic book artist-turned-director Kaare Andrews is in final negotiations to take the helm of Cabin Fever: Patient Zero.
.
Jake Wade Wall (The Hitcher, When Strangers Call) wrote the script for “Patient Zero,” which is about a cruise ship in the Caribbean running aground an abandoned research island. A deadly virus is unleashed and the passengers must find a way to survive before the flesh eating disease consumes them all.
.
“Patient Zero” is expected to be followed by Cabin Fever: Outbreak, being written by Adam and Deborah Marcus (Leatherface 3D, I Walked With a Zombie). In that film, a doctor and his family travel to a remote Caribbean island to investigate a minor flu outbreak, only to discover a vicious flesh-eating virus that threatens everyone on the island. The family is faced with responsibility to prevent a worldwide epidemic.
.
Did nobody see the first film? It was terrible. It was what started my hate/hate affair with Eli Roth. Why would they want to make two sequels? Did the first film really make that much money? Isn’t a little late for multiple sequels to this franchise? So many questions, one answer: Don’t make these movies.
