Hack/Slash Getting a Director?

Hack/Slash is a comic book series following its title characters “travels across the country hunting slashers in the vein of Halloween’s Michael Myers, Friday the 13th’s Jason Voorhees and A Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger, along with a hulking protector named Vlad.”

The live action adaptation has been in the work for a few years now, but has continuously fallen through. My guess would be due to the licensing issue of having the title character taking on established characters from other works of fiction. However, some good news may be on the horizon as Marcus Nispel (Conan the Barbarian, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) has been attached to direct the adaptation.

Now, let’s see if they can make it into the casting phase because they will be no easy feat in its own right…
