Yay, Another Disney Ride Movie

The nuclear fallout from the Pirates movies continues to spread, as Disney continues to greenlight movie versions of all their freaking rides.  The newest one: The Matterhorn. For those keeping score at home, last week we broke the story of Jon Favreau attached to direct The Magic Kingdom, the SECOND Haunted Mansion movie is in development with Guillermo Del Toro overseeing it, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is reportedly getting a redo with David Fincher set to make it dark and moody.

The Matterhorn is a ride where you go through a snowy mountain called the Matterhorn, encountering not-so-vicious Abominable Snowmen along the way.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, the storyline will be about five young mountain climbers scaling The Matterhorn and had an unfortunate encounter with a Yeti on the way down the mountain.  The script will be written by Jason Dean Hall.
