Post Apocalyptic ‘Zorro Reborn’

When I heard that 20th Century Fox’s reboot of the classic Zorro franchise would take place in the future, I wanted to shit all over it. However, upon hearing the pitch, I may have to rethink things.  24 Frames, the other production company behind Zorro Reborn has this to say about the relaunch of the beloved character:

“In this version, Zorro will be less a caped crusader for justice than a one-man vigilante force bent on revenge, in a western story that has echoes of both Sergio Leone and ‘No Country for Old Men,’”

Wow.  That’s a bold claim.  The filmmakers are going to live or die by that claim.  When you put yourself on a pedestal with Leone and the Coen Brothers, there is no room for disappointment.  Should be interesting to see if they can deliver.
