‘Paranormal Activity 2′ Leaves ‘Jackass 3D’ Running Scared

Proving yet again that horror movies reign supreme at the box office, Paranormal Activity 2 brought in $41.5 million in its debut weekend. The sequel to the smash hit from this time last year, Paranormal Activity 2 had the biggest debut weekend of a horror film EVER.  Are you fucking serious?  You’re telling me, more people went to go see the sequel to this average at best horror film, then they did the original?  Goddamnit America, what is wrong with you?!

Jackass 3D came in second, taking in a respectable $21.6 million in its second weekend, while Red came in third with $15 million.  Rounding out the top five movies at the box office were the new Clint Eastwood cheesefest, Hereafter which raked in $12 million and The Social Network stuck around with $7.3 million.
